TWD this week was kind of a weird side-quest, a departure from the main story. Not that I didn't like it...I feel like Rick needed this episode to get his brain back online and quit seeing things. It was hard to see how far Morgan sank though. He's literally off his rocker, now. The total silence of that part of the town, broken only by occasional walkers and distant gunfire...must be maddening. I would've capped myself a long time ago, were I in his shoes...or moved on. Or gone to check out who was shooting and see if I can't join one side after scoping both out. I feel like Morgan would be a well-needed addition to the group, and I'm sure the others would like to meet the guy that Rick spent so many sun-risess trying to reach with that walkie.
Either way...happy they got a good stockpile of guns and MUCH-needed ammunition for the coming battle. The previews for E013 look pretty much certain to be bullet-ridden. There's no way the Governor came to that sit-down with Rick without the intention of either burning the prison down while Rick's away, or shooting him on the way back. Carol's gonna be disappointed in Andrea for not going through with slitting the dude's throat when she had the chance. I feel like if Rick played his cards right...he could take over Woodbury...giving the people there an eye-full of what Phillip was doing behind their backs. Rick could really use the peace and tranquility of a place like that. The Alexandria Safe-Zone is probably a season or five away yet...and that's assuming the TV show doesn't add some more original storylines, like the Sophia bit or the trip to the CDC. I'm up for it, though. Would be nice for the group to have some kind of character-building episodes down the line where they all try to settle in and recharge their sanity-batteries before the next wave of shit comes through.
What was up with that hitchhiker though? I honestly couldn't tell what happened to him at the end. It looked like he'd been spattered by a car, but I couldn't see if there were new cars in that pile-up or not. I haven't seen a walker kill ripped apart like that...they usually eat the thing where it drops.
Reminds me though...why wasn't there a horse corpse by the tank during the Vatos episode? Glenn went right by the tank...there should've been a skeleton left, like that mostly-eaten nurse that Rick saw in the hospital in Days Gone Bye.
Ah well.
Anyhow...I just finished sketching Ch28 and it's 30 pages. The week is kinda busy for me (cat goes to surgery tomorrow, then I gotta take my sister's crap to her school on Friday after work, then I gotta house-sit) but I don't actually have to spend any length of time in any particular place. So, hopefully, with enough sleep, I'll have this chapter out before the ETA. After that is my version of Farewell Swords, then a short hiatus, then the next arc starts (unless people really get on my case about the hiatus, in which case I'll just say screw it and work on Eidolon/Limitless instead. So...don't hassle me. <_<)
[Though perhaps he could've toned down the dinner-bell screams.]
Don't hassle the master!
Thanks! (Never can be too many.)
